DGS was initiated upon witnessing the challenges of common citizens in Punjab (India). These citizens are hard working individuals who struggle to survive on a daily basis to fulfill their family and/or personal needs.
DGS aims to build a platform for all its sponsored individuals who can rely on a support service that truly meets their needs towards self sustainability and prosperity, guided by Sikh principles and values.
DGS objective is to support such individuals with a basic monthly support package, providing basic necessities with the flexibility to tailor their needs from our associated partners. The support package will include (but not limited to) apparels, footwear, food stuffs. educational and medical assistance.
DGS offers to provide individuals (through training and employment, an opportunity to get involved in the various projects undertaken. This will include (but not limited to) hands on and administrations tasks like surveys, location visits fund raising and project development and administration tasks.
DGS endeavor to support preservation initiatives of Sikh Gurdwara, history and culture, and provide legal council for appointed Granthis, Gursikhs and Sewadars.
DGS plans in the future, to support individuals with starting their own small business with initial start-up funds and/or pre-selected loan schemes.
